Peiping, Feb. 21.

Gen. Vu Hsueh-chung, Governor of Hopei, accompanied by Gen. Wan Fulin, has arrived in Peiping en route to Hankow for a conference with Marshal Chang Hsueh-liang.

In Chinese quarters here it is stated that the conference has been called to consider the question of liquidate ing the remnants of the "Young Marshal's" troops now serving under Gen. Vu Hsuelmchung. Such a move, it is said, would be. in accordance with the oft-expressed desire of the Japanese for their removal, leaving Peiping and Tientein with garrisons of Nanking troops only.
