Chinese Chamber Gives List of Names to Bureau By order of the Social Affairs Bureau, the Chinese General Chamber Commerce recently conducted investigations of the number brokers in Shanghai who are alleged to have illegally conducted gold bar transactions contrary to the provisions of the amended Exchange Law.
The investigations having been completed, the Chamber has submitted to the Bureau a list of the names of the illegal gold bar exchanges. According to the list, there are stil ten such illegal exchanges in Shanghai, including several which are registered with Japanese and American auth= orities and over which the Chinese had no authority, The list further reveals that Ave other illegal exchanges have already suspended business while the drestes of twelve other exchanges could not be found.
