No Divmenps has referred {in his closing lines 4o Mr. L. Sovka's Initiative in expressing aloud "his, long repressed grievances" as a shareholder, which he has had the courage to air'in public meetings and in the public press. Let me at this juncture draw the attention of local shareholders og to the results of Mr. Sovka's over-zealousness,—which speak for themselves. At a meeting of the new defunct Bukit Toh Along Rubber Estates, Ltd, it was p by the Directors that in view of this Company's serious financial position, an amalgamation by an exchange of shares be effected with the Rubber Trust, Ltd. in the proportion of four Bukits to one Rubber Trust. In view of Mr. Sovxa's and. another shareholder's opposition, the whole scheme was scrapped and the Company went into voluntary liquidation. This, maintain, is the result of Mr. Sovka's excess of zeal, and all his subsequent efforts to take up the cudgels in behalf of his fellow shareholders Is to "lock the stable door when the steed is stolen." "Mr. Sorns's aggressive altitude at local meetings which are reported in the press, to. my mind, hampers, rather than' furthers the interests of shareholders. As Her of fact, one is disgusted at the inanity of the man who together with 2 bedfellow helped to wreck the Bukit Aoh Along Rubber Estates, which to-day, with prosperous tines ahead of us, would have been one of the foremost Rubber Companies, Are we Bukit shareholders not justified in greeting Mr. Sovxa with the classic phrase: Et tue Brutel"
