Kweiyang, May 3.
A striking indication of the peaceful conditions which have returned to Kweiyang and the surrounding district was afforded to-day when Gen. and Mme, Chiang Kai-shek made '9. tour of inspection in the countryside for a radius of 20 miles South of the provincial capital. Much fof their tour wes made afoot, ths Generalissimo and his wife waiking through mountain trails. They Ingpected several villages occupied by Miao tribesmen, who thanked the Generalissimo for having restored to them conditions under which they could live and work in peace and security.
