To the Editor of the *"Nomrm-Cuma Dairy NEWS"
Sin—I reside at 1560, Avenue Joffre, Lincoln Apartments, that till late coulü proudly boast of comparative comfort and quietude extended to its tenants. 1
It occurred lately that in direct vicinity, facing east, a paint factory made its appearance, and day and right the factory chimneys eject bluish-white smoke containing most pungent and obnoxious odours.
As a matter of query, it would be interesting to learn how the manufacture of this product had been permitted in the neighbourhood of a residential district, and if such permit had been issued, it would seem most necessary and urgent for the proprietor to have special absorbers for the daily cloud of poison, lest the health of the apartment tenants should be impaired.
