Cycle Radio

The Aberdeen Police Force now have a number of cycles fitted with radio. A miniature set is housed in a bag fitted behind the saddle and a small loud-speaker is fitted to the handle bars. This is in a clip so that it may be removed quickly in the event of difficulty ip hearing owing to the noise of passing traffic. It is then used as an earphone. A medium-short-wave is used and headquarters can keep in touch with members of the force in outlying districts. Two-y systems are now being experimented with.
