Loan for Kuangtung Coal Development Discussed The 35th meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Administration of the Indemnity Funds remitted by the British Government was held on Mon. Jday, Dec. 9, at the Bankers' Club, The following were present. Messrs. Chur hua, Chairman, R. Calder-Mar-Yen Te-ching, Tseng Yung-pu (TK. Tseng), Yeh Kung-cho, J.
Ju, W. 'S. King, K. Cantho, Chen Chi-tsai, Soong Tse-long, H. Wilkinson. and Li Shu-hua, Among the matters discussed was the proposal of the Kuangtung Conservancy Commission for a loan of £80,000 in materials for the develop ment of coal mines at Kuo Ya Tung. It was decided that the matter should. be referred to the Technical and Finance Sub-Committees for further consideration. It ig understood that. the Kuangtung Provincial Government has sent two representatives, who will be arriving here some time. within the next few days, to discuss the peatter.
Wenehi Paper Milt Guarantee for the repayment of principal and payment of interest on Yhe proposed loan for the establish ment of the Wenchi Paper Mill (Chekiang) was considered, The Ministry of Industry, with the authorization of the Executive Yuan, suggested that the amortization payments should be incorporated in its annual budget. It°was decided tha provided an irrevocable undertaking be given by the Executive Yuan, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry, the suggestion: will be] implemented.
