Transfer to be Made at the End of March The announcement was made on Friday that arrangements have been completed for the removal of the American Consulate-General from its present quarters in the Kalee Building to temporary quarters in the new ofice building now being completed fat the southwest corner of Kiangsi and Foochow roads. The transfer will be effected at the end of March, and the Consulate will be situated in these quarters pending the completion of the new American Government building in Shanghai, the construction of which is expected to Ddegin in the autumn of this year, It is anticipated that the new building will be completed in about two years. The site is between the Japanese and German consulates, and it will be remembered that the old American consular buildings were pulled down this site some time ago in anticipation of the erection of a new American government building.
