Suy—On the night of Sunday 19th instant at precisely 11.38 p.m, Chung king time a large meteor was observed in descent to @ point ONE. of Chungking City, and possibly not 0 very far distant. Commencing as an ordinary "shooting star" the me-tear ineteased in brilliance' and nally went down below the horizon in the direction indicated in a flash of red and green radiance, It would be interesting to know whether this was observed by other readers and whether there is any information of its landing place.
