Stock prices on Wall Street today finished with gains up to about 4 points. The market opened with a better tone. due to the easier European situation, but later fluctuated narrowly and nervously when it was realized that the situation was still very delicate. Buyers were nibbling, to which sellers responded. Steels were very prominent on increased steel mill activity, although the publication "Steel" sees a slower improvement. Motors ruled firm on expectations that production will pick-up rapidly, while rails were supported. Interest, however, is still at a low ebb. With the situation encouraging. domestic and business news is expected to be a minor market influence. The turnover today amounted to 830,000 shares.
