TWENTY-NINE MEN USED IN YESTERDAY'S GAME

With a barrage of fourteen hits, the Headquarters, U. S. M. C., baseball team bombarded the U. S. Navy outfit into a 14 to 3 defeat yesterday. By pushing the Sailors further into the cellar, Captain Fenton's boys crept a half game nearer the League leaders.

Yesterday's game at the Race Course diamond set some sort of a Shanghai record. as 29 men participated in the afternoon's activities, fifteen for Headquarters, and fourteen for the Navy. These frequent and copious substitutions robbed the tussle of what little interest there was left after Headquarters had driven ahead to a seven run lead in the fifth inning. A home run by Teague and doubles by Childress, Sharples, and Bowers were the only bright spots in an otherwise dull afternoon.
