A. T. Bridge who had scored 25 runs on Saturday, carried on his innings yesterday and scored a useful 5$ runs, and with other wickets falling cheaply, a late stand between D. W. Leach and G. S. Dunkley did much to enhance the Club's chances success. Leach scored 59 runs in an innings replete with an amazing number of chances which were not quite lives, Before he reached 20, Leach was missed in slips, and was not at all comfortable, his batting, contrary to his usual confident style, being distinctly uneasy. Nevertheless, he eventually got his eye in and with the advent of Dunkley went for the! runs, and secured two sixes, both of which fell into the pavilion. Dunkley also had a merry tonk and scored 26, before he was caught by Pat Madar at deep mid off.
