President Benes of Czechoslovakia yesterday ordered the general mobilization of the nation to resist aggression. of the problems which are confronting that country im dealing with its numerous minorities that the mobilization decree had to be broadcast in the Czech, German, Hungarian, Ruthenian, and Slovak languages.
In spite of the mixture, slovakia possesses a very efficient army. The pictures show (top) Czechoslovakian infantry on the march in a recent parade, and (below) a battery of Czech field artillery marching past the saluting base on a similar parade in Prague.
