July 21 The morale of the capital is higher than ever despite renewed intense artillery activity west of the city, ys the Defence Ministry in a communique to-day, admitting that Nationalists captured the hill east Villa Nueva de la Canada after a fierce battle. National planes bombed Guadalajara, sett fire to an asylum and foundling hospital un which 300 old people and many children were rescued. Government machines bombed enemy positions north-east of Quijorna.—Reuter.
