Rubber Trade Protests Barter Proposals

London, May 26.

The Rubber Trade Association, of London, held a special meeting and emphatically protested against the American proposals for the barter of cotton for rubber, according to the "Financial Times" today.

The speakers, the newspaper added, contended that such a plan would sound the death-knell of the International Rubber Regulation scheme.

The meeting, it is understood, resolved to make contact with otner similar associations, with a view to a joint protest to the Government.—Reuter.
