Participating: in the shooting which occurred outside- the Hollywood 'Gardens-on' the-evening of April 19, when Det.-Sub-Insp. J. C. Crighton of Crime Branch Headquarters who happened to be on the scene at the time, fired a number of shots, one of which was believed to have injured one of the men; An attempted murder on January 2, at 1211 Jessfeld Road when Koo operated with two of his armed accomplices; And his connection with a large number of armed robberies mostly perpetrated in the Brenan and Jessfield Road districts during the past few months, details of which have not: yet been ascertained.
Ah these implications will, however, have to be carefully studied by de-tactives investigating the case, before the detained man will be charged, it was understood from reliable sources, as ít has often ned that, in an effort to shield accomplices, a minor member of a gang confesses to certain crimes in order to lead the police from the right track. Usually the criminal. confessing to an offence, must reconstruct the crime in the presence of witnesses to the actual crime, in order to enable police oméials to make definite charges.
