Savoia Triumph Over Police

Fast Italian Soccer Team Show Good Teamwork To Win League Match 2-1 at Canidrome

TERDAY afternoon Savoia met the S.M. Police at the Cahidrome and showed that their promotion to first division football in Shanghai was warranted, winning by 2-1.

The match was characterized by a lot of open play and the ball never remained at one end of the field for any length of time.

Like many of the other Shanghai teams the Police were obviously suffering from lack of practice and training. Towards the end of the match it was noticeable that the Police were tiring rapidly and lacked that necessary dash and speed which any team that meets Savoia requires in order to hold its own. Both forward lines showed a great weakness in converting the many chances they had to score. The shooting of the Savoia attack being particularly wild at times.
