Naval Reservists Proved Worth

Fleet Mobilization Carried Out with Remarkable Effect

London, Oct. 11.

Although the mobilization of the British Fleet had never been completed, it was revealed that nearly 300000 men were at their posts within three days of the signing of the mobilization proclamation by the King.

The story behind the present Naval effort was one of smoothly working machinery and a wonderfully elastic response of the personnel.

Many of the navy reservists called up are now returning home but Officials who were concerned in the strenuous work which naval mobilization involved are well pleased with the smoothness with which the machinery worked, Except for the partial mobilization in 1922, it has not been tested since 1914.
