London, June 9.
Extradition from e' Tientsin British Concession of the four Chinese accused by Japan of murdering Chen Shi-ken, "Provisional Government" official, would be tantamount to British recognition of the Peiping authorities, the Chinese Ambassador, Mr. Quo Tai-chi, told the Foreign Secretary, Halifax, today.
He protested against any such eventual action by the Tientsin Britisn Municipal Council, disclosing that he was making the representations upon receipt of a telegram of instructions from Chungking.
Xn the course of the meeting with Lord Halifax, which took place this morning, he also introduced Mr. C. T. Wang, former Foreign Minister and Ambassador to Washington, now Chinese delegate to the International Olympic Committee.
Chinese quarters stated this evening that the call "afforded an opportunity for discussion of the international situation."
