The official closing day of the Police Recreation Club (Lawn Bowls Section) will take place today at Hongkew Park, with a fixture in which the Hongkew Golf Club will participate, In the morning, starting at 10 o'clock, a trailing, driving, guarding and drawing competition will take place, which will be followed by a skittles game. Competitors are requested to hand in their names at 9.45 ann. sharp.
Tifün will be served at 1 p.m. and at 2 o'clock there will be two games. one a pick-up rinks and the other a ladies pairs.
At 5 p.m. the prizes for the season will be presented by Mr. S. C. Young who, incidentally, was the winner of the first Singles Championship of ihe Police Lawn Section which took place in 1926.
The Bubbling Well Section also will close their season with all-day play and prize presentation.
Also today, is the closing of the Yangtszepoo Bowling Club. Pick-up rinks will start at 2 p.m. after which prizes will be presented by Mrs. L. Beattie.
On the greens of the Shanghai Lawn Bowls Club the annual match between the Club and past and present members of the Shanghai Scottish will take place. This narrow lead did not seem to please the SF.X. team and they pressed down on the Lusitano goal until within eight minutes of the end, Edwards centred to Karolitch who ran down fast and shot from within the penalty area to score and give his team a lead of two goals which remained till the end. The final score being SF.X. 6, Clube lusitano 4.
