German Indignation

Berlin, June 14.

The suggestion that a British Propaganda Ministry should be created has evoked indignant comments in the German press which talks about a return to the "technique of Lord Northeliffe's incitement" in peacetime.

The "Lokalanzeiger" states: "Nothing can reveal more clearly the cuestionableness of what the British call peace than this bellicose measure against Germany "Why is it being taken? Because no one in Germany takes seriously the phrases of British Ministers regarding the alleged readiness on the part of Great Britain to negotiate with Germ:

"So to encirclement must be added now direct intervention in German internal affairs, to blackmail from without and poisoning from within—and all this under the catchword— peace."—Rettter.
