Constable to Re-Occupy Building Negotiations between the Shanghai Municipal Police and the "Ta Tao" authorities have been successfully concluded with regard to the status of the "Ta Tao" police station at the corner of Columbia and Great Western Roads and British sentries on duty near the place since 6 a.m. on Saturday were withdrawn at noon yesterday, it was officially learned.
"The "Ta Tao" police are to be permitted to occupy the building with police constables but they have undertaken not to function outside the front of the building adjoining the municipal road and for their movements they will utilize the side entrance having access to "Ta Tao" territory only. In consideration of this undertaking, the barbed, wire which had been placed on the windows and doors of the building, have been removed.
