Mr. Geoffrey Shakespeare Comments on Appeasement To See Group of Journalists Paris, Oct. 21.

The Count of Paris, pretender to the throne of France, banned from entry into the country, made a secret trip to a small village within the frontiers today.

He gathered a group of selected journalists and read out to them a declaration in which he asserted that only the establishment of a kingdom could avoid for France the choice between decline as a power or the adoption of a dictatorial regime.

Arriving by aeroplane, he took time only to make his statement and then immediately left again by air.—Havas.
