Triangular Trade

Agreement Washington, Oct. 25.

Government officials are studying the reports that Germany is seeking a triangular trade agreement with Great Britain and America, based on the barter system and also on blocked marks, according to information released today by the United States Board of Trade.

However, the officials, in their investigations, found that a large scale of German trade at present is already being conducted under such a system.

Although Mr. Cordell Hull, United States Secretary of State, declared that Germany's method was diametrically opposed to that of the United States, some officials believe that the majority of the trade between the United States and Germany may be conducted along Germany's lines. The exact percentage, it is said, is not yet known.—Reuter.
