Ed Miller Collides With Al Simmons, Both Slightly — Hurt; Arnovitch Honoured By Phillies

New York, July 16.

Stengels unpredictable Boston Bees today took both ends of a double-header over the Cincinnati Reds and climbed into sixth place in the Notional League Baseball standings.

Little Ed Miller, 22-year-old rookie of the Boston outfield, collided with the veteran Al Simmons in the nightcap while chasing Bill Werber's fly. Both were carried off the field but it was believed no bones were broken. Werber got four of the Reds seven hits, all of which were singles. The Bees won 4-5.

The St. Louis Cardinals turned three hits into a 3-1 victory ever the New York Giants, scoring one run each in the fifth, sixth and ninth innings. The Giants tallied in the eighth.

The nightcap went 12 innings and darkness ended it with the score tied at 5 all.
