The Cross of the Legion of Honour conferred on M.A. Monestier, a Peiping journalist, for services rendered in the cause of Sino-French intellectual rapprochement was formally presented to him on behalf of the French Ambassador, M. Naggiar, alan. intimate ceremony at the. French Embassy here this morning.
'M. Monestier is the owner and editor of the French weekly journal, "La Politique de Pekin," and was: formerly editor of "L'Echo de Chine' He Is shortly returning to France on eave after 25 years' unbroken sojourn in China—Reuter.
