The Rev. K. L. Samset was born in Bid, More, Norway, in 1879, first came, to China in' 1902 and has even since been in the service of the Norwegian Lutheran Mission. He frst started work in Neihsiang, Honas Tater opened Lushan ard Nanchao Hsiens in Honan for mission work. In 1919 he moved to Tenhsien south Honan, and later to Laohokow in north-west Hupeh. Mr. Samset was well versed in the Chinese language, spoken as well written, and' for some. time had worked hard in compiling, revising and translating hymns for the Chine ese Church, Mrs. Samset, is stilt Laohokew, Hupeh.
