Sale in Producing Centres Prohibited Peiping, Nov. 21 The export of cotton will shortly be prohibited from Tientsin, accordihg to the Chinese press. A ban on ihe export of cotton has already been imposed in Tsingtao, going into force on November 7.
Without the specific permission of the proper authorities at such cotton producing centres as Shihchiachwang, the sale of cotton is prohibited and the cotton guild in Shihchiachwang has been authorized to buy all available cotton at a fixed official price.—
