From Kiangwan

The procession itself started from the Civic Centre at Kiangwan at about 6 o'clock yesterday evening and proceeded to wind its way slowly through the busy streets of Chapei to the Chungshan Road. It continued along this road to Lunghwa, the noise of the cars and brass bands and of the crowds thronging the route breaking the usual nightly silence of the extra-Settlement residential district, From Chungshan Road the parade proceeded to tour the French Concession-Nantao border along the Boulevařd des Deux Republiques, where the crowds seemed to surpass in size those of Chapei. The wide Boulevard des Deux Republiques was practically closed to traffic long before the procession came in view, huge mobs of people packing the streets in a manner strongly re-minis cent.of Nanking Road during the recent Coronation Celebrations
