On the next day, the market appeared to recover somewhat, but towards the close of the session, weakness developed again, On Thursday, the market recovered sharply, following a better tone on Wall Street and the announcement that an agreement had been reached in principle by the—non-invention committee, Positions were consolidated on Friday, with a steady tone prevailing. Thursday's recovery, however, was not sufficient to wipe cut previous losses, with many issues being at lower prices than at the close of last week's market.
