Tsingtao's Collection To the Editor of the "Nonrit-Cumva Day News"

Sm—In reply to an article appearing in your issue of June 23, re seas horses in China, may I acquaint your public with the following:

Three or four years ago our Tsing. tne Aquarium hada most. lovely exhibit all that summer of about eight live sea-horses. It was a great Joy to watch these wonderfully Denutiful creatures moving round their tank, 'Also, 19 years ago, when on a summer visit here with my ehildrer at the 'September Neap-tide, were able to walk out from' th Strand Beach an incredible distanc usually covered by 10-12 feet at high tide. There in a pool we discovered to our astonishment a perfect specimen of a live sea-horse, We were '80 enchanted with it that we wished others to share our delight, so we transferred it toa child's sea-side bucket and took it round showing it to the many people who were still on the Strand Beach in mid-September. at low-tide, Thave not had time since your article appeared to consult " the authorities here to find out if the above was really an unusual occur ence in the waters of North China—but 1 understand the Aquarium here houses only those fish who live in Jocal (North China) waters. This. includes a beautiful young seal, which is a great attraction, 'A Taixarao Resipent.
