London, Dee. 1

An interesting side-light was thrown on the trading methods of the totali-arian states by Mr. R. S. Hudson, Secretary for Overseas Trade, in the House of Commons yesterday.

Information on these methods was given in reply to a motion by Mr.

foreld Sutelifle, Conservative member for the Royton Division of Lancashire, asking for a planned export trade pol ist. industry, and "overcome the increasing menace of state-aided foreign competition."

Mr. Hudson stated that the Government had made a survey of all the possible ways of meeting totalitarian trading methods, especially in Central and South-Eastern Europe.

They had found that the only possible way was 0 organize industries so that they would be able to speak units, and say to their opposite numbers in Germany:—"Unless you are prepared to sell your goods for Feasonable return, we will fight you.
