Palestine Forces Defended

Foreign Propaganda Alleging Misconduct Emphatically Denied

London, Dec. 9.

"His Majesty's Government has already emphatically denied accusations of systematic misconduct and brutality alleged in certain sections of the foreign press against British troops and police in Palestine," declares a statement issued today by the Colonial Office.

"The allegations," it adds, "appear, for the most part, to be derived from propagandist sources ili the Near Eas!. Every allegation of irregular conduct is made the subject of immediate enquiry, and the Government will not hesitate to take action in any case where the circumstances appear to require, "A particular instance, in which certain allegations have been made og four members of the police force, has been brought to its notice, and the individuals concerned are being prosecuted in the courts."
