Towards Good Relations

AGREEMENT SIGNED FOR FREEDOM TO RIGHTS

Berlin, Nov. 6.

An important development in relations between Germany and Poland is marked by the conclusion of an agreement to-day concerning the treatment of their respective minorities, The pact forbids any attempt to assimilate tHe minority, grants minorities free use of their language and the right to form organizations, maintain schools and have church services in their own language, and provides that they should not be hindered in the profession or acquisition of real estate.

Herr Adolf Hitler, in receiving a delegation of the Polish minority in Germany, expressed the hope the agreement would further friendly relations between Germany and Poland. He announced he had ordered the release of a number of Poles arrested in Germany on a charge of illegal political activity.—Reuter.
