Marine Godown Severely Damaged Four fires broke between 6.10 and 420 pam. fast night and kept the Settlement, brigade busy. Outstanding was the blaze which severely damaged a shed in the United States Marine Corps' camp at 851 Ferry Road, which occurred at 630 o'clock. The shed in question was used as a general goods godown and the damage is said te hive been considerable, Less than an hour after they had returned from the Ferry Road blaze, the same engines were called to Lane house 31 Maipai Road where a shed belonging to a dty-cell factory had caught fire. Earlier' in the evening machines from Bubbling Well ction extinguished a fire which had broken out in an electric fitting shop 241 Carter Road.
