Extra Ship Put on for Cargo and Passenger Traffic Kobe, Nov. 12.
To alleviate the shortage of shipping facilities between Japan ports and Shanghai, the Nippon Yusen Kaisha to-day added another vessel, the Tatsuno Maru, to its liners calling at the China port. The Shanghai Maru and Nagasski Maru, and a special cargo service ship, the Chikugo Maru, already are sailing Edmonton, Nov. 12.
Mr. Joseph Unwin, Government whip in the Alberta legislature, was to-day sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labour for libelling opponents of the Alberta Social Credit scheme.—Reuter.
