How a Chinese woman fell in love with three men including her common law husband for several years without the knowledge of any one of them until recently, when two of them decided to get rid of her and caused her death from stab wounds was told by the police prosecutor in the First Special District Court yesterday. Her common-law husband and a second lover alleged to be the actual killer were brought before the tribunal on a writ of detention pending the completion of an inquest. Hearing was postponed for a week.
It will be recalled that the love entanglement ended in tragedy on Monday shortly before 6 p.m. when one of the lovers of Mrs. Tu Wang-sre summoned her common law husband to their home in Yulin Road.
The lover, Liu Lin-fu and alleged murderer, told the husband, Tu Dehfah, that his wife had been in love with another ren named Chou Yung-tsai for two years. There was a quarrel during which she denied that she had relations with Chou but admitted that she had been in love with Liu.
Tu was shocked to learn that his informer was no other than another lover. For a time the question puzzled him but all agreed to get the truth from the third man, It was revealed in Court that before they could find this third man? Liu suggested to the husband that they should get rid of the woman, At the alleged instigation of Liu a meeting was held between the two men and they decided to buy a knife to kill her. It was alleged that Liu paid $2 for the knife and armed with the weapon they went to Mrs. Tu's home.
