London, Nov. 20.
Flying-Ofücer A. E. Clouston and Mrs. Betty Kirby-Green landed here at 3.22 o'clock this afternoon, having left Marseilles, at noon after a brief stop. Thus they have remarkably improved upon the records held since last May by Miss Amy Johnston (Mrs, Mollison) for the London to Capetown and return flights.—Havas.
Mrs. Kirby-Greea and her companion had reached Cairo at 743 last evening G.M.T. They had left the Cape at 6 ann. on Thursday and only stopped at three places yesterday. At 612 am. they reached Kisumu in Kenya, and after an hour to refuel, left for Khartoum, arriving at 1.50 pin. leaving for Cairo after a 20- minute stop.
The couple broke Miss Amy Johnson's London-Cape mark by doing the journey in 45 hours compared With the old record of three days, six hours and 27 minutes. Miss Johnson's Cape-London mark, established last May, is four days, sixteen hours and seventeen minutes.—Reuter.
