rined robbers were active in the Western District again yesterday evening, no less than eight men being concerned in two separate robberies at 7 p.m. and 7.38 p.m. respectively. At the first, five men, two with pistols, entered 5 Markham Road and stole money and jewellery the value of which could not be ascertained last night.
In the second robbery, three men, one with a pistol, intimidated the occupants of 571 Connaught Road and stole $20 in all. In both cases, the robbers escaped before any alarm could be given, and no arrests have yet been made.
