Italian Reassurance

Brussels, Nov. 24.

Italian statesmen had assured him that Italy's recent signing of an anti-Comintern pact with Germany and Japan had nothing to do with the Sino-Japanese conflict, declared Mr.

Chen Kung-po, Chinese goodwill envoy to Europe, on his arrival here to-day from Rome.

It was the business of the Brussels Conference, Mr. Chen Kung-po asserted, to find a rapid and satisfactory solution of the Far Eastern Crisis in conformity with the principles of the Nine-Power Treaty.

The object of his mission to Europe, he added," was "to inform Chinese Embassies and Legations abroad on internal conditions in China and the line of policy developed by the Nanking Government since the beginning of hostilities.",
