A remarkably fast journey was made by a letter received in Shanghai on July 31 by Cie des Messageries Maritimes. The letter was posted at Natal, Brazil, on July 18 and shows the Natal Post Omlce's stamp of July 19 which means that it travelled the entire distance in less than twelve Gays. It was carried over the full route by Air France aeroplanes from Natal via Dakar, Paris and Hanet, The receivers of the letter have expressed willingness to show it to anyone who is interested.
