New York, Jan. 11.
Easy conditions prevailed on Wall Street today at the outset, but later stock prices rallied feebly and then finally reacted under liquidating pressure to finish from fractions to about two points down. Good business reports were offset by the revival of unsettling European news and the depressing picture painted by the united sketches of the American Ambassadors to Great Britain and France, which, combined with the pending developments in Washington, had the effect of dampening the ardour of investors. Meanwhile, some further heaviness is likely, although the defense message tomorrow may aid steels, aviations and armament issues. The turnover today amounted to 920,000 shares.
