Chungking, Nov. 19. A new air service between China and Soviet Russia was inaugurated today when a Chinese Beroplane Carrying passengers and mail, took off from Chungking for Hami, in Sinkiang (Chinese Turkestan). The aeroplane will make stops at Chengtu, Lanchow, and Suchow.
The service, which is being operated by the Eurasia Aviation Corporation, a Sino-German concern, will be weekly. An aeroplane will leave Chungking every Sunday for Hami. It will arrive at Lanchow on the same day, and will take off for Suchow and Hami the following day. An aeroplane will leave Hami for Chungking every Tuesday.
establishment of this new air e has been under negotiation between the Chinese and Soviet Governments for more than one year, but final arrangements were not concluded until a few months ago. The construction of airfields in Sinkiang has further delayed the formal opening of the service.—Reuter.
