Extending their operations fo the extreme north of Finland, Soviet troops today occupied the stretegically important Finnish part of the Ribachi (Fishers) Peninsula on the Arctic Ocean, well above the Arctic circle and in the immediate vicinity of Norwegian territory.—Havas.

Finland created violent indignation in nent to Mos-Eo put hoped to the last moment that Soviet Russia would accept mediation or ar-bit ration in settling its differences with Finland, and that it would hesitate somewhat, before following Hitler's footsteps.—Havas.
