Facts of Wuhu Incident

The State Department, at the same time in issuing Mr. Allison's account of the Nanking assault incident, gives out a report about the incidents involving American nationals ana property at Wuhu early in December.

These incidents comprise the hauling down of an American flag and other insulting behaviour to Americans, including the brandishing of a sword in the face of an American woman by a Japanese officer.

The State Department points out that, although these occurrences took place early in December, as yet no reply has been received from the Japanese authorities to the American representations in connection with them.—Reuter.
