Slovaks in U.S Oppose Move

Washington Discerns German Push Towards East in New Action

Pittsburgh, Pa., Mar. 14.

"We categorically oppose an inhuman German intervention in Slovakia," Mr. U. S. Platek, President of the Slovak National Society in the United States, declared here today when questioned as to the Society's views on the present crisis in Slovakia.

"American Slovaks are convinced that their fellow-countrymen can remain among the family of civilized nations only as an integral part of Czechoslovakia. The separatist movement is working against the interests of Slovakia, and American Slovaks are bitterly opposed to such movement."—Havas.
