Active Agitation Dropped During Emergency

Tokyo, Feb. 7.

The whole policy of the Women Suffrage League and other Japanese women's organizations has been changed as a result of the emergency situation, according to Mrs. Fusae Ichikawa, president of the League. Even the annual convention of Japanese women's suffrage organizations has been abandoned.

During the whole of this year, emphasis will be placed on training women through participation in local Lealth, educational and city improvement drives and in the national spiritual mobilization campaign.

These methods will aid the Government and, at the same time, will create the necessary training and knowledge of civic affairs, in prepa tion for a drive for women's suffrage and women's rights after hostilities in China have come to an end, Mrs. Ichikawa said.—Reuter.

Six persons were killed to-day when a Missouri.
