In the last half the Bucs defence tightened and the Marine team was able to make only six points to their opponents' 16. The low scoring in this period was due largely to the fact that both teams attempted to control the ball until they were more sure of scoring.
Paisley, with eight points, was high man for E Company while Biesel and Ryan shared scoring honours for the game with 12 points each. Morang put up a stone-wall defence, during the three quarters which he played, holding his opponent to no points.
