"SEVENTH HEAVEN"

A Tribute

To the Editor of the "Nortn-Curxa Dany News"

Sin,—With "war news." not only of this sad country, but of the entire world, now become a regular feature of your journal, and its results finding expression even in your correspondence columns, perhaps I may be pardoned if I break the to venture in a different vein. And' what finer subject could ther than the motion picture "Seventh Heaven." now showing here.

Here truly is a picture, beautifully produced, vividly enacted by splendid cast and its theme—the triumph of innate virtue. supported of stalwart true nobility, whatever their mundane status, making a Heaven midst hellish surroundings— more finely expressed than ever before. Indeed, it is a picture that anyone, of whatever creed, colour or viewpoint, but who possesses a human heart, can feel, appreciate and understand. And how true is the fact that Heaven is oft nearer to us than we think it is. Nor is a miracle necessary to. bring the Kingdom of Heaven to this weary earth: it is character, not prayers alone. God moves in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform—facts ' which this picture brings so forcefully to mind. To Miss Simon, The "M" Club, organization of students having received their athletic letters, of Blue Mountain College elected the following officers recently:—Miss Virginia Mitchell, Whiteville, Tenn., president; Miss Camille Grego: president; and Miss Cora May Mar-nett of Chinkiang, China, secretary-treasurer.
