General Chiang Kai-shek to-day Zave recognition—in the form of fiscal rewards—to all wounded officers and men now receiving medical treatment at the Metropolitan Hospital in Nanking for their meritorious services rendered to the country at the front, The gifts of appreciation, ranging from $10 to $100, wrapped up in handsome bags. were distributed among the wounded by Colonel J. L. Huang. General Secretary of the Officers Moral Endeavour Association, who visited the hospital on behalf of the Generalissimo, Officers with the rank of general received $100 each. those with the rank of colonel $50. those with the rank of Lieutenant $30, and privates $10.—Central News.
